Jungle residency at Sachaqa Art Center

Emily spent two weeks in San Roque de Cumbaza, which sits in the high Amazon jungle of Perú. She learned traditional pottery techniques from local teachers: sourcing the clay, building an Amazonian tinaja pot, and firing pieces the way artisans have been doing it for millennia.
